Ultimate Compak 4 PRO B10 4-shoe Steel Clutch 1:8 Off-Road

The Ultimate Compack 4 PRO steel clutch is Ultimate Racing's adjustable 4-shoe clutch for 1/8 off-road nitro cars, featuring a unique system that lets you change the clutch hardness with the engine installed and the car ready to run. Its steel flywheel adds 13 g of rotating mass compared to the aluminium version, and that extra inertia gives you smoother, more progressive acceleration, ideal for bumpy, broken or low-grip tracks; easier cornering, carrying speed more naturally; and a more stable, consistent idle.

Adjusting it takes seconds: flip the car over, lock the flywheel and turn the adjuster to one of the three hardness settings laser-engraved on the flywheel, from I (softest, also the mounting position) to III (hardest). To check the selected setting, just see which number lines up with the adjuster hole. Like every Compack clutch, it goes onto the engine fully assembled: simply press the springs with your fingers into the mounting position. Leaving it in position I after each practice or race day relaxes the springs and keeps them from deforming over time. The aluminium shoes have a wear indicator: once the mark is gone, it's time to replace them, and changing the springs at the same time is recommended.
