XTR Colours Fluorescent Purple spray paint is specifically formulated for RC polycarbonate bodies. If you're after a vivid, eye-catching finish with that standout fluor effect on track, this is the paint for you.

Body preparation

Before painting, cut out the body and sand the cut edges for a clean finish. If your body has a transparent protective film on the outside, do not remove it until the paint is completely dry. Mask all areas you don't want to paint with masking tape or film. Make sure the surface is clean, dry and dust-free before you start.

If combining colours, always paint darker colours before lighter ones to prevent stronger tones from showing through softer shades.

For best results

• Shake the can vigorously for 2 minutes until you hear the mixing ball.
• Spray from a distance of 20 to 30 cm using smooth, crossing strokes.
• Always apply very thin coats. Never one thick coat.
• Best results are achieved with 2 to 3 coats, waiting 5 minutes between each.
• Allow 5 minutes drying time before removing masking tape or film.
• After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 seconds to clear the nozzle.

Specific instructions for fluorescent colours

Fluorescent colours require a special application technique to achieve the best effect:

• Apply only very light coats: fluorescents cover less than conventional colours.
• Only use this spray when temperatures are above 15 °C.
• Spray from a distance of 15 to 20 cm.
• Allow 30 minutes drying time, then apply a coat of white XTR Colours as a base coat. This step is essential to achieve the desired fluorescent effect.
