The Formula 1 of RC: Mugen Seiki MRX7

The Mugen MRX7 represents the latest evolution in the most demanding category of radio control: 1/8 Nitro On-Road. Developed and tested by factory driver Simon Kurzbuch (who achieved TQ and European runner-up with the prototype), this chassis is designed with a single goal: to dominate the stopwatch.

This new generation focuses on drastically lowering the Center of Gravity (CG). The engine is positioned lower in the chassis, and the battery has been relocated underneath the fuel tank. Combined with a new, narrower suspension geometry and a reinforced drivetrain, the MRX7 offers unprecedented cornering speed and high-speed stability.

Technical Innovations & Engineering

• Optimized Center of Gravity: Redesigned aluminum chassis to house the engine in a lower position. The battery is now mounted under the fuel tank to balance the central weight.
• High-Efficiency Transmission: E-clips have been eliminated in favor of a screw fixation system on the pulleys for maximum reliability. The gear shaft is now aluminum to reduce rotational mass.
• Advanced Suspension Geometry: New geometry adapted to modern tires, with a narrower rear track and adjustable front wheelbase. Rear uprights allow roll center modification via inserts.
• Carbon Body Mount: New lightweight design with adjustable arms and tensioners to secure the body firmly, improving aerodynamic load transfer (Downforce) to the chassis.
• Redesigned Tank: New tank with adjustable volume inserts and a floating exhaust mounting system that isolates engine vibrations.
