This is a pair of the new Procircuit Kamikaze. They are part of the V2 range of 1/8 off‑road competition tyres developed by the Procircuit R&D department and tested by some of the best international drivers. All Procircuit tyres include a third‑generation insert designed to better match the new internal structure of the tyre, providing a firmer feel that performs better in all conditions.
The Procircuit Kamikaze has been developed for tracks where the racing line stays clean. It is versatile enough to work well in both low‑ and high‑grip conditions thanks to its low‑profile design, which maximises ground contact. The small, low and tightly packed pins ensure very slow and even wear. In addition, they form groups of four separated from the rest to improve the evacuation of fine dust. The cuts in the pins improve flexibility, resulting in more grip and easier handling.
The internal mesh has also been redesigned, moving from a linear structure to a rhomboid one that improves stability when the tyre is subjected to high loads in fast corners or on very bumpy tracks.
Compared to the “C” compound version, the new “S” compounds stand out for improved traction, grip and durability, with more robust sidewalls and a rhomboid internal mesh.
“S” Compounds: Superior performance on all types of tracks, with improvements in grip, traction and durability over their predecessor.
“K” Synthetic Compounds: Maximum efficiency and grip on indoor clay tracks, oiled racing lines, high‑moisture dirt, or synthetic surfaces such as carpet, artificial grass, concrete, slippery corners or cobblestones. Their performance depends mainly on track grip level and surface type, and their lower elasticity helps reduce tyre ballooning at high speeds.
