The Hobbywing XeRun V10 G5 17.5T Torque (part number 30401764) is a 2-pole, 3000 KV sensored brushless motor developed on an all-new platform for 1/10 and 1/12 Stock racing. It supports 1S to 3S LiPo batteries. The Torque version uses a higher-strength rotor (Φ7-12.5*25.2-JUS), recommended by the manufacturer for medium to high grip and small to medium-sized tracks.

According to Hobbywing, the V10 G5 series improves maximum output power by 3.9% and heavy-load efficiency by more than 4% compared with the V10 G4R 13.5T. It is 13 g lighter than the G4R and moves the weight towards the centreline of the vehicle. The new end bell exposes more of the winding for better heat dissipation, and the rotor features a patented cooling design and a special coating that protects it from corrosion and improves its magnetic performance.

For fine tuning, the G5 lets you adjust the Hall sensor timing accuracy and the sensor-to-rotor distance using 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mm shims, to tailor the response and feel of the power delivery. Its modular design makes cleaning easy, and it is built with a high-performance stator, a reinforced rotor rated for 180 °C and top-tier bearings. Hobbywing recommends pairing it with the XeRun XR10 Pro G3 or G3X ESC.
